Because our audience includes collectors, thrifters, dealers, appraisers, and resellers of antiques and collectibles, our site must provide engaging, knowledgeable content tailored for these readers. Ideal candidates have significant experience in the antiques and collectibles industry and are well-versed in relevant categories (e.g., ceramics, coins, vintage toys, fine art, jewelry). Content on collecting and industry trends is welcome.

What you will do:

  • Write informative, authoritative, and engaging articles on identifying and valuing antiques, collectibles, art, and related subjects as assigned by an editor.
  • Follow the formatting guidelines outlined in our Writer’s Guide.
  • Edit your work if requested.
  • Submit invoices for your work in a timely fashion.

Required skills:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Must know Microsoft Word and Microsoft Word Editor. Knowledge of Grammarly is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SEO practices and Google’s advanced search features.
  • Working knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Have a clear, concise, and informative writing style.

Content breakdown:

WorthPoint currently pays for the following types of articles:

  • Blog Article: 800–1200 words on approved “evergreen” topics related to antiques and collectibles, as assigned or approved by an editor. 
  • News Brief: 200–400 words on industry news or market trends, as assigned or approved by an editor.

Plus, all active writers receive:

  • Full author credit and ability to include a professional or social media profile link within each article.
  • Permission to post links and snippets of your WorthPoint articles on your websites, social media profiles, or other pages.

  1. Links to previously published content.
  2. Any experience with or interest in antiques and collectibles.
  3. A pitch for a original Blog article (800–1200 words) relating to antiques and collectibles that you may be asked to write. Previously published content and AI-generated text are unacceptable. Please review the WorthPoint Writer’s Guide (link) for our standards and guidelines.
